Got busy yesterday after blogging and made 4 more project bags. One of them had a tape blemish on the vinyl so there's another one that I had to keep.
The three for the store came out beautifully. I might be getting really good at it. I have five more to make with that main paisley material and then on to the next batch. I ran out of vinyl because my first cut was way off for reasons unknown to me so I lost out on that section. If I had cut that first part perfectly there would have been another five vinyl front. This tells me that I can make 14 project bags with 2 yards of vinyl. This mean I'll need 10 yards of vinyl to finish all of these project bags.
The bag with the blemish on this vinyl ended up housing Lizzie Kate's Unseen Things. Complete with hoop, everything but the box of floss is in that bag.
I had this little wooden box in my crafty stash and the WDW floss fits perfectly in it. Now I want to paint and poly the box, but then I reminded myself I'm only using it this one time, but still.
Since this was out I thought I should get my Timesheet app going and stitch a bit to make some color on my pie.
Finished a color on the top border, added a flower and filled in the center of both flowers, added some vine and the word AND with the underline.
After that I put everything away and was thinking I was sleepy, but not ready for bed so I pulled out my Poppy Project and threw more stitches into that.
More color on my pie chart now and satisfied, went to bed. Now I really don't know what to stitch on today after I finish more project bags. Maybe continue getting an hour or two on my Stitch9Challenge before tomorrow.
Today is Thursday which means Critical Role and I'll need to have something to stitch during the show tonight. Pirate Ship hasn't seen love in awhile and if I'm putting color on my pie that would be a reasonable piece to get some time on.
We shall see! For now it's back to sewing. HAVE A GORGEOUS DAY!
Until next time.....KEEP ON STITCHIN'!
Love the poppies!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have an entire project bag full of poppy patterns!
DeleteJust love your project bags. I'm watching your Etsy to see if there is a fabric I can't live without haha. Great work on both pieces. You could paint your box just in case you use it again sometime. Don't let it take time away from your beautiful stitching or sewing though haha.
ReplyDeleteTee Hee, I'm taking a three day weekend because stitching will be done :D And thank you! I have some very pretty project bags to make that will probably knock your socks off and those will be in the shop next week....how do you feel about blue? :D I do keep thinking that painting that box would be awesome but right now it's all about the stitching!
DeleteYour bags look beautiful. And your stitching is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm selling them for $25 each instead of doing a promo code or voucher right now :D
DeleteI need to get Sings Unseen out again...I keep forgetting how pretty it is!
ReplyDeleteWe could SAL together, but please don't feel rushed! Maybe later this year :D
DeleteI'd love that! I hope I can get both Whacky Witches and The Mermaid finished no later than July, and I'd definitively be up for fun after that.
DeleteOh wow I love those project bags!! What a smart solution!
