Static Cling!

Heart of Stone by Mattsma

Putting geography aside, one huge difference between Colorado and Southeast Alaska is static cling.  Southeast Alaska is a rain forest.  Needless to point out that it's MOIST there all of the time.  MOIST.  Very moist.  ALL of the time.  Super moist.  Drenched, wet, soaking moist.

Colorado is DRY.  This is why my arthritis doesn't attack daily and has helped me lead a mostly pain free existence since leaving Juneau a year and a half ago.  When it does throw down some precipitation here, it's the freeze dried variety.  Going to snow?  Dry.  Trying to rain?  DRY.  Pouring rain and hail?  DRY.

So now my daily battle is with static cling.  I've reached out to turn my TV only to experience a shock so sound that it shut the TV off.  Either I'm magic, or we have some serious static charges happening here...which could be seen as magic. Getting out of my car is shocking.  Getting dressed/undressed, making the bed, vacuuming, SHOCKING.  A full on electric show for a party of one!  I should try and take some video of this nonsense.  Poor Roy was just standing around yesterday when his hair stood on end! He was standing on wood.  Poor Roy....he kind of looked like he was enjoying it though, so maybe not poor Roy.

I know I had a point about the static cling, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was so I'll just stop blathering on about it now.

Have a beautiful evening!

Until next time.....KEEP ON STITCHIN'!
