Well, here we are! It's Monday. I'm not sure how you feel about it, but I kind of like Monday. It's the day that puts you back on schedule, reminds you to be accountable, and for most, it requires we slog back to work.
Now some of you may have a different kind of Monday. One where you don't bother changing out of comfy jammies, put the kettle on, maybe wander around for a bit relaxed and knowing that your Monday does not require you to stress, BE on schedule, and definitely no slogging.
I go back and forth on which Monday I like best, but since I'm working it seems right to appreciate the first Monday even though the second Monday might feel more desirable. Okay, I'm torn. I like both Mondays. Is it wrong to long for the second Monday while experiencing the first Monday only to finally get the second Monday and long for the first Monday?
Let's circle back to that confusing thought process later. I'm breathless and dizzy from just one paragraph!
My Roy and I had a fun discussion about weather last night while he poured me a cup of tea. (He's such a gentlemen) As we both know, the temperature for the next few days will be very cold. Not as cold as some places will be, but still cold enough for me to be concerned about Roy's insistence on running around naked.
It's not for me to judge, but it is occasionally awkward when I get home from work and see a naked butt in the air. Let's also remember that it's cold and even a troll needs to stay warm.
Feeling lazy, I grabbed some yarn from the bowl and wrapped it around him to give him a full body suit of warm, softness. Nothing fancy, and it made me laugh and will keep Roy warm during the next few days while it's cold. (Seriously, I spend too much time alone)
It really doesn't get too cold here (compared to my previous life in Alaska) which is weird since I'm in Colorado you'd expect more extremes, but honestly I'm in just the right spot. The storm that sailed over early this morning did nothing to my little town, but sadly caused some serious snowstorm stuff south of here and in Denver. It was like two different planets! I'd look out my window at a lovely sunrise and then watch the news at blizzard like conditions in Denver. Lucky or blessed, I'll take it and did shout out a big THANK YOU on my way to work.
Now back to the Monday business...Please have a beautiful Monday regardless of the weather, have some coffee or tea, hug someone and...
Until next time.....KEEP ON STITCHIN'!
