Sunday Stitch Merida Segment 2

Last time we met, the exciting start to Merida was happening with long winded explanations about every aspect of.....starting a project.  We all know that starting a project is always the hardest part (until we get to that one part later on towards the end and we just want it to be done) with all the prepping, making sure we have everything we need and all that.

Thankfully, all that is behind us and it's all about the stitching from here on out.

This is where we left off last Sunday.  A nice little start to a nice little project.

Yesterday did see some real stitching happen and I'm very glad I figured out those little stitches the first time around as that really kept me in touch with the pattern and gave the end result a REALLY nice look to it.

The first color is finished.  I have to say I am extremely pleased with what I have accomplished here.

It already looks like curly hair and there isn't even any backstitching!

The next color of hair section isn't as large as this section and shouldn't take too long.

From what I can see on the pattern thus far, the hair, face and neckline seem to be the most difficult portion of this pattern.  I could be wrong as I haven't looked too closely at it.

If you are interested in getting the patterns you can go visit Make It Pink and get your very own Merida pattern or just go for it and get all three Princesses.  I believe the end result of this project will be exquisite and the detail will be to die for!

More on Merida after next Sunday's Stitch!

Until next time.....Keep on Stitchin'

  2. You are making me want to start her, bad you. However the new fabric I got today would be fantastic for Belle, and I wasn't really planning on her at all,

  3. You made some really great progress - indeed it DOES look like hair already, Ashley makes such amazing patterns! Can't wait to see more of her next week! I think when I get to those, I'll need to take mercy with Rapunzel, so someone is stitching her as well...
