Every Time I Start A Movie The Phone Rings

After getting home safely yesterday, I got everything ready, started a movie and the phone rings.  It's the older of my two brothers.  While he and I are chatting my sister calls via messenger and wants to video chat.

Just so you know, my sister has many children.  I love every one of them dearly and had to have some talk time with a few of them and then more chatting at my sister.  One brother was already in bed sleeping or he would have been on the call as well.

By the time the call ended it was almost midnight (did I mention I love them dearly?) and I was pooped so off to my nest I go.

This morning I rolled out of my nest and had just started the movie again, then sat down to stitch when my son's roommate was at the door.  We had a chat and he left.

I turned the movie back on, and my son came by for a visit.  He left.  The movie starts again and my brother calls.  Off the phone once again, start the movie and my brother calls again.  I try stitching while he's talking but we get into it like we do and I had to put the stitching down to verify some facts because the brother is always desperate to be right....he wasn't.

Off the phone, movie started, picked up my stitching and my son's roommate is at the door again.  It's now 1:00 pm.  Roommate departs.  Start movie, sit down and grab my stitching and put in three stitches when my brother calls again to discuss groceries.  Continue to stitch which seems to bother the brother because I'm counting out loud and he decides he has to go do some stuff.

Decide to start movie again, made some potato soup, eat, sit down to stitch and my son's roommate is back again to borrow my car.  I warned him about the tires.  He says he'll be fine and if not he will buy the new tires.  I don't want to, he insists, give keys and tell him to be safe.  I mean seriously, I don't know how long I've been driving with a ripped tire so maybe one more trip?  It's now 4:30 pm.

Now worried, play the movie, sit down, grab stitching, get into movie and forget about stitching, eat more soup, and eventually finish another pattern and start another one.

Halfway done with next pattern and I'm one off.  Ripping.  Dang it!  I'll finish this if it's the last thing I do!  I'm supposed to be working on Odd Clover but the February NFSAL stuff needs to be finished and then voting for the STITCH OFF can happen!

Here's hoping I can finish this tonight.  Roommate returned car and is safe.  I hope you out there in the world are as safe and loved as I am.

Until next time.....KEEP ON STITCHIN'!

  1. Some days are just not meant for stitching...or movie watching...or anything, really!
