WHO did THIS??

Normally...and I do mean NORMALLY, second day air, Fed Ex, UPS...any kind of service that provides overnight or what have you, on their shipping cannot possibly promise you that it will happen when sending to Alaska.

On October 20th this kit was mailed to me from Surrey (UK) and arrived at my doorstep before noon TODAY, October 22nd!!  I have to blog about it because that is UNHEARD OF!!

If you love the pattern or want to see more please venture over to Unconventional X Stitch for kits and the Unconventional X Stitch Etsy for just PDF's.  Not only did I get this beautifully put together kit (which is seriously awesome and not chucked together like your store bought patterns), but I had an added bonus of a little dragon needle minder!  Jodi hasn't listed these yet, but she will, so keep an eye out if ye like the dragon......because DRAGON!  I don't care how old you are....DRAGON.

Now we come to another interesting thing that arrived in the mail today.  Yes, I checked to make sure I did not do this.  Confirmation that NO, I did not do this.  Someone did this.  I know you are reading this and giggling.  After a year and a half wondering who the troll gifter was, I can wait patiently until YOU reveal yourself.  Which will probably be when I finish stitching it, at which time there will be a cop knock at the door and demands for the finished piece.....or maybe I'm just speculating too much here?  That would be normal of me so I will just say THANK YOU!

You, my readers are curious about what this is?  I shall show you...

I had this on my wish list on 123Stitch at one point recently and then took it off as I have been trying to be good and stick with my pattern fast. (Which hasn't been a total fail so far).

I have seen this pattern finished by another blogger who, (I'm really sorry ladies) I cannot remember nor can I locate the blogger (if you know please let me know so I can update this to include her beautiful stitching), had done this beautiful piece and I love it and put it on my wish list in a moment of insanity.

I did not talk to anyone about this, and it was only on my list for maybe a day, two tops, when lucidity returned and I took it off the wish list so that I wouldn't go there and stare at it....and then buy it....and the floss....and the fabric.....

The pattern and threads alone were around $50 and that doesn't include shipping.  I will happily purchase the appropriate fabric because I'm not banned from fabric and SFS has given us a $50 bonus to the usual $25 so consider that fabric a done deal!

I could cry!  Coming home to stuff like this just thrills me to no end!  I'm overwhelmed and honestly don't know how to thank you mystery gifter...this is marvelous.  I kind of feel extra special...Kitsune arrived in two days (which is super exciting all by itself and the kit is FANTASTIC), and to have the second package ....yep, overwhelmed.

Putting them carefully into my little tote of kits so they stay safe and clean....I will pet them more later. Now back to Queen Bee as she has been in my thoughts all day today.

Until next time....Keep On Stitchin'

    2. Interesting....I love how everyone says "I've never seen it before" makes me very suspicious of ALL of you ha ha!

  2. So who sold their soul to Crowley for shipping, it's really not the best way to meet him, but at least it worked.
As for the other pattern, it wasn't me, I've never seen that one before, I love your mystery person.

    1. Right? Who made things work faster? ha ha! So if it wasn't you....then who?? I suppose we won't find out until I stitch it which won't be until next year!

    2. Well I did meet Crowley, but that was a couple years ago, and no deals were made, just hugs.

    3. Are you SURE? He can be charming which would be his "in" and then next thing you know it's the cross roads for you!

    4. Actually I went to the crossroads to, but he wasn't there.

    5. He may have been busy "charming" someone else by that time ha ha!

    6. Hey my Christmas present from Mom arrived in less than two days also, in the mail. Usually Amazon arrives by courier a week later and the horrid person leaves it by the door without ringing the bell or knocking, we've watched him.

    7. I can see you and your dad lurking, waiting for the the delivery person to show up!hahahaha!

    8. It was actually Mom that caught him, she was gardening and saw him drive up, put the package at the door and drive off.

    3. You might have to climb into one of your stashes and dig deep to find it but I bet you still have it! DRAGON!!

    4. Unfortunately I lost it after leaving my parents house but before I had my own apartment that I lived in alone. That along with my "can't live without" teddy bear that my first ex refused to give back to me.

      DRAGONS!!!

    5. Darn it, moving around does tend to lose things and those Ex people...I get angry thinking about that from personal experience so I imagine you have the same feelings about your teddy bear!

      DRAGONS!!

    6. Yes it does, had my fair share of moving and more. I would like to do unmentionable things to the lying cheating first ex who mooched off me and made me feel like he was doing me the favour by letting me share his flat. I solved the loosing stuff post ex issue by kicking the last one out and staying put myself. Occasionally find some of his stuff in the attic but that's easy enough to give back to him when he collects the kids.

      DRAGONS!!! <3

    7. I think you and I were too "nice" over the years...think of all the things we might still have if we had put our foots (erm...feet) down!

      DRAGON!!

    8. Yes, probably. Loads - my dragon, teddy, some lovely dishes I was given loads of things id made or started to make and lost due to moves (and my mother taking the chance to de-clutter)

      DRAGON!!
      (Still unrepentant!)
