It only seems fitting to make sure there is a 13th segment to this since I did figure out something fun to do with the finished piece.
I haven't done any quilting for so long I had forgotten how to miter my corners, but after this was finished I had a "moment" and remembered so I will be fixing this.
Making this a hanging, which is now on my bedroom door which opens into the kitchen, was a GREAT idea.
Also, there seems to be a large "stain" on the bottom I will be getting out as well. It was a linen napkin in a previous life after all!
In order to make this I had to fix my sewing machine. My machine and I have been at odds with each other for quite awhile but I was able to make this small work of art without too much hassle. It's a tension problem that I now have to resort to reading the book to get the proper adjustment. At least, that is what I hope the problem is!
Now I must make some coffee and continue my work on the sewing machine and get some time in on the baby blanket and booties!
Until next time.....
That is such a cheerful pumpkin, and you are not alone with sewing machine problems, mine has a distinctly dysfunctional relationship with me! it only works properly if what I am making is NOT important, but if i give it a vital job to help with then tensions run high for both parties lol.
ReplyDeleteLovely work carla, looking forward to seeing more.
:D
DeleteThank you! It was such a wonderful project and I'm completely happy with the outcome. I do have several larger projects for that machine and there was quite a discussion with it Sunday afternoon :D
