Little Travel Case

Without further ado, here is the Little Travel Case for your viewing pleasure!

This is actually a 12" x 8" (35cm x 25cm) portable DVD Player case that looks like a mini-suitcase.

The two pockets are actually 4 pockets, and then you have the roomy base for the little projects.  The Sterilite container (basically a little Rubbermaid container) I've had for 20 years and used to use it for my floss until I picked up that medium floss box, but I dug it out of retirement to be put back to good use again.

The biscornu is the one Magical made for the Biscornu Booty last year and fits in perfectly with the "little things" idea.

Today I had to wait in my car for a bit before going on "expedition" (basically a long walk in the snow) and was able to sit in the car in the sunshine and stitch a bit.  It was AWESOME.

It never occurred to me to stitch in the car.  I have no idea why, but this little experience really has me excited about my silly little travel case.  There's always something in it to stitch, they are little, quick and easy. When you run out, just fill it up again and off you go.  In my case, if I just want to get out of the house but I still want to can guess the rest.

An update on THEY.  Some of you out there may think this looks a little "off" or ridiculous.  The situation surrounding the joke IS ridiculous and by having something stitched in such a way reflects this perfectly.

I do have to say, however, those little butterflies ARE SO ADORABLE!!  I could stitch those all day!  The flower and butterfly pattern are from a free pattern I found online during lunch yesterday on Keeping Things Simple. What a cute idea, and yes they ARE simple but I think that is what makes them so darn cute!  Of course it could also have something to do with the Calypso Weeks Dye Works Floss I'm using too.  Those bright colors always excite me.

Alrighty, I'm off to try and get SKULL done once and for all....or do more than 10 stitches before I sleep. This is the weekend it should be finished.  Oh please let this be the weekend it is finished....pleeeaaasse!

Until tomorrow my Сладкие Брошюровщики!

  1. That is the best idea ever, that case is perfect.I can see you sitting in the sun, overlooking the ocean or at Skater's Cabin just stitching away. And yay to this been the weekend to finish things.

  2. This really is a great idea, I should find a way to take my bookmarks with me - I already have this really cute little floss box, now I just need a bag for everything. And possibly an extra hoop/qsnap.

    1. If you can find one of these portable DVD player carrying cases, they are super light and you can stuff everything in it. It' small enough to fit in your backpack or handbag or satchel :D
