Stitch from Stash: a total blowout. I will not be offended in the slightest if I am asked (politely they will ask) to not ever participate again.
Earned: $20.00 (I think?)
Either way, I still feel the need to explain what is going on here and why this insane amount was spent.
I have reached a point in the re-organization process where now I am replacing very old floss one box at a time (seriously, .44 times 100....I am not sure of the number in the first box but just for example's sake) and that comes to around $44.00. I did purchase the limited time only Mucha Princesses for $55.00 to support the artist, the designer and my own need to be a berserker stitcher. Since I am kitting up the patterns as I go, I needed fabric, beads and flosses for this project AND I thought long and hard about Lizzie Kate's Unseen Things (who doesn't like Helen Keller?) and bought that entire kit and caboodle.
My point here is this: Instead of just buying patterns willy nilly, or hoarding piles and piles of stuff, it is now VERY focused. There are some patterns I have been given and won (just received two winning patterns recently WOO HOO!) and will kit them up with appropriate fabric and flosses (if specialty is needed). This means that if I decide to start everything I have, I just pull it out of my basket and start!
|All kitted and ready to rock and roll!|
As you can see, there is room for more! However, this is the end result of years of downsizing and reorganization. I have reached that point where I can decide what I really want to stitch, and make sure I have everything I need to stitch it so it's ready when I'm ready.
Granted, I have only put a minor dent in the projects I have set up for this year and into next year, but like I said...if I feel like starting everything I can...it's been a thought which makes me laugh and then I have a nap and then I'm fine.
I know that with SFS I have learned so very much! I have stopped with the crazy buying of EVERYTHING that I like and stop to ask if I actually would want to stitch it. The past year and almost half have been a wonderful learning adventure, but I do believe I am finished. Sure I will continue reading the blogs and lessons (one can still learn more at any given time) but when this A Session ends, I will relinquish my spot to whoever signs up to replace me and wish everyone luck on their new journey! One more month of reporting (unless I am given the boot from this round of spending) and that will be that. You just watch....once I'm done my spending will go down to next to nothing! So worth it!
Okay, next up is TUSAL! One of my all time favorite SAL's that isn't really a SAL but is still super fun regardless!
It's so incredibly FULL! Part of that is from some of the seriously old floss I have and there were only a few lumps left so I tossed it. The larger bobbins of floss are in a bag for safe keeping. So the layers in the jar are stitching/bobbinating/stitching/stitching and then bobbinating, more bobbinating and then on top is more stitching.
Fabulous stuff if I do say so!
So now, I'm off...I'm thinking sleep is required at this point...but a three day week is ahead of me and I look forward to it with GLEE!
Until next time.....KEEP ON STITCHIN'!
