Sunday Starts

As I promised myself I would make actual WIPs of my projects for 2015, I put the first stitches into COSMOS, Butterfly Forest and Cead Mile Failte today.

Now the only one that hasn't one stitch to it is Celestial Dragon, but again, I do need 30" bars for that one.

The lack of tension on COSMOS means I cannot use the split frame on it and will need to pick up more Velcro for that one and reset the scroll frame with the fabric.  All that is fine by me! The only thing that bugs me is the sloppy looking stitching from the floppy fabric, but that can be fixed quite easily.

I draped the floss over the fabric I have picked out for Cead Mile Failte and am IN LOVE with it officially!

Back to my beloved Hamish Macbeth...he currently has one murder, a supposed suicide and a potential secondary murder on the way AND yet another woman is trying to usurp my plans for being his romantic love interest....I really should write a letter to M.C. Beaton about getting me written in as said love interest.   Seriously, I very much understand why Hamish doesn't have any ambition to be more than he is and I'd be very happy to live quietly in a crofter's house stitching.....just sayin'

Until next time...

    1. YOU are the reason I have that beautiful blue fabric as that is the fabric you had originally chosen from one of your wins on SP contests a year or so ago and decided you wanted the Haunted or whatever it was. So thank YOU for not choosing this one, it really will make Cead Mile Failte look so amazing :D

Yes...start another WIP! You can never have too many :D

    5. I made first 4 of the 12 gift tag embroideries that came with the November CrossStitcher so they are all about 14 x 20 stitches. Not going to fix the embroideries to the tags till closer to December just in case the tape isn't as long term adhesive as I'd like :)

  2. That's a good idea. Just a few minutes on each one and soon, or later, they could all be finished. I looked at your book link and looks like something I would like. Thanks!

    1. Hurrah! I'm really glad I could give ideas that give ideas and I believe that doing it like this will get some real stitching done this year. I'm glad you like the books as well...the Hamish series is my favorite and so far all but three can be had on Audible but all of them are available on kindle :D

    1. Me too! It was very hard to stop stitching each one as I was ready to continue. The one I really want some progress on is Butterfly Forest. That one is mostly half stitching for the background look and the butterflies are the only real cross stitching that I've seen so far...I think the flowers might be full stitch as well :D
