If you haven't signed up and think you don't have enough to do AND you are already participating in one of the other fabulous mini of the month or mini madness SALs, that is alright, you can comment on the ToT page to sign up anyway as I did this to blend with other SALs. Just blog about it on or around the 11th of every month to show your tiny progress. I won't be doing any widget for sign up thingy, but commenting here will get you listed in a follow-up blog so we can all come for a visit. This is a casual affair, but the end of the year will see a grand prize for ye who stitches the most tiny, mini or smalls! I haven't decided yet on what that prize will be, but I AM very open to suggestions....as long as they aren't fun things like "that cruise to Antarctica" or "Norman Reedus"....that cruise is well over $10,000.00 (I know this because it's on mine and Nancy's to-do list) and as for Norman, well his manager doesn't return calls and he doesn't really read messages on Facebook (No I wasn't stalking him, we needed him to wear a Tee Shirt during GISHWHES 2014).
Back to reality (darn it) if you do have a fun prize suggestion, by all means share...no matter how "interesting" it may be. One never knows what I can accomplish and it doesn't hurt to ask out here in cyberspace.
Because we are doing the monthly blog-in on the 11th of the month, our "time frame" is the 12th to the 11th (say December 12th to January 11th), so however many you stitched up during that time is what you would report. And yes, I would definitely count things stitched during December 2014 but only if it were stitched after the 12th. Make sense?
Quaker Ornament and January Bookmark. Once the flosses come in for the Frosty Forest, I will start on those and really get a little stitching done.
I have a lovely small-ish pattern to start on Sunday which is the Ace of Spades, a Jim Shore pattern...I loves me some Jim Shore patterns....really I do!
This one is slightly too big to be considered a tiny, mini or even just a small, and I didn't realize it until I took everything out of the package to prep it for stitching. Sadness....but the good part is I can take it to work with me and stitch during lunch....maybe. My job here doesn't always allow me to stitch because my office is very full of friendly, social individuals who will jabber your lunch hour away without even thinking that you need that time for quiet contemplation and gosh did I really need to listen to 25 minutes of how the rain ruined your sweater and hair and OMG that wind was so windy and did you know that it is so incredibly hot in here because our HVAC is being worked on and those fans aren't circulating the air sufficiently enough that we are ALL GOING TO DIE??!!
Seriously, I just want to stitch. Oh, so anyway, I might take it with me to test the waters so to speak. The pattern is fairly simple....says the old lady who never sees the difficultly lying ahead even if there were a sign with flashing lights to warn her that the bridge it out....
No matter what, PLEASE have fun with this and ALL of your cross stitch. It is so good for you!
Now, if you have a moment...please wander over to Magical Quilts and check her lovely ToT for January! You will be amazed.
Until next time!
