Apparently 2015 is for T

After careful consideration, and research and more consideration, the list of this year's "stuff" has been narrowed down to the following:

TUSAL is one of my favorites as this was one of my first video chat subjects with Magical and strangely one of the things we bonded over. And it's just a really fun thing to do!

WIPocalypse, still hard to say but a great idea and helps a stitcher see what they have been up to...you know when you black out sometimes and then a week later you are digging around and find 18 started projects you swear you didn't have but there they are, gathering dust and trying for all they are worth to become UFOs?

I take the premise of stitching like it's the end of the world a little too seriously and go back and forth between NO WIPs and YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY WIPs!

Once a Berserker....
My lovely Leonore came up with this idea last year as a great way to teach us all about different designers through the eyes of the individual stitcher.

For beginner stitchers and for us old timers, there is always something new to learn and a new designer to learn about...the hard part will be picking a designer to gush on about!
Turtle Trot!  I've been following this one for about two years, I think, and the whole idea makes me giggle....maybe it's the tiny turtles.  Like cross stitch, they make me smile.

I decided to get on board with Turtle Trot this year and see where it takes me.  Some of my WIPs are kind of old...and some aren't even started so are they technically WIPs or just really good ideas waiting to happen?

Either way they are on the list of ten!

Stitch from Stash started up last year and EXPLODED! This is definitely one of the more complicated things to participate it in but after one year of struggling with it, I'm ready to move to the next level!

Will I be able to truly stitch just from stash this year, or will I be tempted into total budgetary shambles in a moment of weakness?

Here is hoping my largest expenditure this year will be only floss!
Joysze started this up and this is another one you can sign up for each month. She has stated that she will continue doing this in 2015, but she has family things going on and may be more sporadic.

However, this did lead to my girls and I creating the IHSW Hangout which is the Saturday of that weekend and we video chat.  More of a show and tell, giggle and watch the tops of each other's heads while we stitch, but we LOVE it! Try it with your group if you cannot get together.

Tons of Tiny is a little thing I thought of to break up the monotony of working on those larger projects.  Sign ups are any time, just comment on that page and you are in!

How many tiny, mini or smalls can you stitch in a year?  I figured this would be a fun side thing for some as those larger projects get tedious or go on foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

Well a small finish is better than no finish so why not? And depending on how many you can do by the end of the year, you might just win big!

Lastly, my favorite and one of the favorites of my girls, The Magnificent Teresa Wentzler for 2015. There aren't many stitchers out there who honestly don't know who she is or haven't seen one of her patterns unless they are really new to stitching.

Nancy and I came up with the idea in 2013 and implemented 2014 The Year of the Magnificent Teresa Wentzler.  As we have realized, EVERY year is a good year for her designs and so we continue and have managed to bring on a few more this year.  2015 will see the finish of Nancy's Stroke of Midnight aka "Cindy", and if you check out "MY GIRLS" on the right sidebar, you will see any one of them working on a TW or two this year!  Signs ups are ALWAYS, just comment at the bottom of that page and like magic you are welcome!

More tomorrow, so until then HAPPY FIRST DAY OF THE  YEAR and Keep on Stitchin'!

  1. Wow, you might have even more SALS going than I do! I might have to get in on that TSAL or Turtle Trot...but I already have so much going on...I think I shall resist, and gladly watch every single one of your posts ^_^

    1. It seems insane, but really TUSAL takes care of itself as does WIPocalypse so those two are easy. Overall they blend well together and I had to stop there. If I had given in and signed up for "just one more" you girls may have had to do an intervention hahaha!

  6. You've got a 2015 ahead of you there. I just joined WIPocalypse this year. My first time joining one and even if it's not as much as you've joined it's daunting. What a happy new year ^_^.
