WIPocalypse for March

Our WIPocalypse question for March is: Show us your favorite place to stitch.

This is very easy! Nerd Central Command.

It's my favorite place to be.

My WIP update isn't as happy, but I AM almost done with SKULL.. For real this time.  I really mean it!

Once Skull is done I have to do three of the Twelve Days of Christmas to comply with my idea of doing one per month.  They are not big and should be fairly simple to stitch up.

Once that is done, I will then decide to continue with the ten hour rotation schedule or just get the nerdy expando file cleaned out once at a time.

Still undecided until I get SKULL done and the first three days done.  I'm thinking I seriously need to finish Vinnie Stretch and then Celtic Goddess who has waited far too long, then finish No Drama, the book marks and ECS.

Seriously, I should only be stitching TW patterns at this point. Since I'm not it's a little pinch of frustration for me.  I'm confident my girls will explain to me how best to get this done so I can do just that very thing.  We shall see.  There's always something, and I'm confident I will find it or it will be shoved into my face.  I did put a small list of "get done by the end of March" in my stitcher's diary so cross your eyes I can get that much done.

In the meantime, my friend Michael gave me season 1 of Vikings to watch while I stitch, so that is what I'm off to do. Until next time, happy stitching!

  1. I love your space and I am completely jealous. This is my dream set up. But alas it is not to be right now. Maybe someday when we have more room

    1. Thank you! I used to sit on one end of the couch in the living room since I had the end table and arm of the couch to prop stuff up on, but once I created this space I cannot possible think of any place better to stitch!

If it helps give you ideas, my room is actually a long room that I split in half, so "bedroom" is on one half and Nerd Central Command is the other wtih my clothes rack thingy separating the two.

  2. Love NCC!! I need a set up like that someday, especially with all that lighting you have.

    1. YES!! And get this! My lighting is "daylight" eco lights, so you can have them all all the time and it won't wreak havoc with the electric bill. I'd like everyone to have an NCC of their very own...it's a place of sanctuary :D

  3. I third it, I want NCC. The Skull is looking amazing, and once you get to the 12 days, you will have mainly TW stuff going. Maybe instead of doing all three at once, do one, and then a ten hour, then next one and so on, so you at least feel like you are working on everything.
And I want that room, we actually have a craft room, but it's a dungeon so I don't work there. just store stuff, messily. but not stitching stuff, it's full of photo stuff, painting stuff, origami stuff, and more photo stuff, (was originally a dark room, thus it's dungeon like qualities.

    1. Hmmmm, I'll have to think about that, I really was liking the 10 hour rotation, but MUST do three of 12 days first THEN I can go back on rotation....maybe. ha ha!

So I'm thinking my main reason for coming down to see you will be to take care of your craft/storage room!!! Seriously! I'm appalled that you have the space but are not utilizing it and if it is as you say, a dungeon, then we MUST rectify that. If it doesn't need to be a darkroom anymore, then it probably needs some brilliant white paint and pretty storage ideas :D ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I just had a moment where I actually thought I should look on Pinterest.....I'm fine....it's a passing moment....breathe....

    2. It's a pretty small room, great storage, but I don't think I could work there, no windows, and in a house that is all windows I don't think I could handle that. But I definitely need to organize, there's my stuff, mom's stuff and a lot of random family stuff. I should make cleaning it out a project. There's even a sink.

  4. I really like your NCC as well, it's like stitcher's heaven - I hope I can create at least a little corner for myself like that once I move in with Felix :D

All these WIPs feel overwhelming, don't say? I'm afraid I can't help you, I keep getting distracted myself (and thanks to you I can't stop thinking about what kind of fabric Curiosity should be done upon >.<) and I seriously need some kind of plan, fast. Only thing I can think about now is 'get. stuff. done', so you be good and finish your skull soon :D
