Bookmarks Complete!

I love making bookmarks.  Even now when most of my books are electronic through my Kindle app, I still love to make them.  Those WIPS didn't  stand a chance!!!

Yes, very pretty but remind me in the future not to use the dang holloshimmer for backstitch ever again...even though you and I both know it WILL happen because I like bling in my stitching.

Part of the 2013 Leaflet Project was to finish the unfinished and as of yesterday I have done just that!  There are no more hidden UFO's or WIP's lurking ANYWHERE.  I checked and double checked.

The focus now will be on Project 2 and only Project 2.

There is also a new contest on Stitching Pirates called Spring Pillage where we get to design our own pattern or change a commercial pattern but it has to be something that reminds YOU of spring.  Like your own interpretation of spring.  Honestly, I think this contest will be more fun than the rest!

I have no idea what I'd like to do, maybe an egg, maybe a biscornu, maybe something huge.  The end date isn't until May 31st so there is plenty of time.

For now, Project 2 will get my undivided attention.  It would be nice to get this one done quickly since I am a month behind according to me, ha, ha.

The new fabric is OUTSTANDING and you will see what I mean next time I update with that project.  If you are interested in joining the Stitching Pirates please go to http://stitchingpirates.deviantart.com/

Until next time.....

  1. They are wonderful! I actually like the movement of colour in the second one - the variegated threads really come into their own here :)

Funny thing is - I've been mentally planning a spring embroidery for a bit... just not allowed myself to do it - you enabler!!

  2. I wasn't going to do the contest but then an idea flung itself into my mind, so my side project biscornu for a friend my get bumped back a bit.

  3. I haven't decided what to do for the contest. If I can't come up with anything I won't enter, but I'd like to. I just have to come up with something first. Time to wrack the brain while I work on my other projects I guess. :)
