Dr Who Shada Scarf WIP update

I'm betting you all thought I set this bad boy aside for the Leaflet Project didn't you?  DIDN'T YOU????!!

It just so happens that I take it to work with me every day and work on it at lunch time and sometimes while I'm on the phones.  While at work I have a great deal of information to share and it does not require that my hands be lying limp in my lap while my mouth does all the work, so I knit.

Currently it is about 1/3rd of the way finished.  I found an acceptable burgundy on Knit Picks to finish this scarf with and have it on order as we speak.

Tomorrow begins the long days of over time, which may mean that more knitting will get done.  Even though I have promised myself one hour of cross stitching every day, this over time should not interfere with that UNLESS I am so tired at the end of the day I play a rousing game of quadriplegic when I get home.  One would think that with my job being predominately mental this wouldn't happen, but it's the emotional toll that gets paid three to ten fold daily.

Sooooo, from 7:00 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, then 7:30 am to 2:30 pm on Saturdays I will be at work.  My goal here is to make enough money to be able to afford a move to a larger dwelling.  My daughter and I agree that something larger is in order and wouldn't it be nice to have a living room?  I am personally a fan of tiny house living, but more than one person in such a small space really is too much.  Bigger digs it is!

For now, enjoy the scarf and don't forget to remind me to quit making mistakes and focus when I'm knitting!

Until next time.....

  1. Looks like lots of progress has been made.. and more to come! I do hope that you don't wear yourself out with all this work and remember to take time to just veg out a bit. Emotional toll can wear you out more than hard labour so I'm not surprised you can get really tired some days.

Fingers crossed that it all goes to plan and you get your larger digs :)

  2. Oh yes, I have been a good girl. If I'm too tired to stitch, I do what I'm doing tonight and put a movie on and beg for a bit before going to sleep. I remember the last time I did this and it was awful. This time I am pacing myself.

I have yet to find anything for rent in the area we want to move to, so we may end up somewhere else unless we find something downtown where we are now that is larger :D
