All Hail the Cake

I am a firm believer that all recipes should be shared......except the ones that win your prizes at state fairs and such, ha, ha.  I am fortunate enough to know many lovely people who share simple, tasty recipes they create on a whim and I am certainly not adverse to trying them!

The original recipe may be found here ---> http://magicalquilts.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-other-day-i-made-tortilla-cake-i.html  The end result of her recipe is now cooling on the racks and I am more than ready to tuck into one or both!  I did add some fresh yellow and red bell pepper and one jalapeno pepper but other than that it is the same recipe.  Naturally, with any recipe one must tinker with it to get the taste you like, but I've been drooling over this recipe since she posted it!

    1. I completely agree! I have a girlfriend who wanted to know how to make potato soup, told her how simple it was and she ended up adding some things I had never thought of doing...sometimes a recipe is perfect as is, but she added some vegetables and BACON. Had to try it! Yum! I ate so much of this Tortilla Cake last night I thought I would burst, brought some in to work today for lunch...so good. Thank you so much for sharing!

I am so glad to to see/hear that people are enjoying something I thought up :)

Btw.. my bf totally approves of the bacon - I think I'll have to use that idea next time he's here ;)
